Love Her

Black cat runs past her she hides away
Men tried to love her but she didn’t stay
Her heart beats faster than hummingbird wings
Every time she frowns her heart sings:
Love me, Hold me, and never let me go
But love seems to be such a big word so she’ll never know
She drops a mirror she expects bad luck
She’d do just about anything for a buck
She carries a rabbit’s foot with her always
She sells her love for money but hey, at least it pays
And her heart screams out love me, hold me, and never let me go
She tries to say the right words but she doesn’t know how to do so
Her smiles are always fake because on the inside she’s crying out loud
If you ever find her someday looking hopefully in a crowd
You’ll know it’s her by the frown she wears
And the people’s stares.
