Love On A Plate

A smile blooms like a rose
kissed by the sun
The heart melts at the sight
of spaghetti with shitake
smoke transporting
the aroma of garlic enticing
nostrils awaiting
the landing of bites
on a mouth anticipating
delight to alight
from a forkful of noodles
thoughtfully al dente
drenched with a sauce
of love served
on a plate.

There is an enticing staccato rhythmn - in keeping with gustatory imagery. I rather like this piece! Rgds, Ivan
