As the cold seeps slowly in
by Robert L. Bixler III
And the warmth once there fades,
How does one continue on?
To move members frozen solid,
From lack flowing essence of life,
Can one’s inner yet again blaze?
When love embrace is broken
In withering words and flat gaze,
Does miscommunication freeze
One’s senses and frost the ears?
Solid ice encased tongues
Can only speak cool riddles
Of desire’s wish for company.
Could it be, that you’re the fuel
To rekindle the dormant embers
Of Love’s sleeping fire.
