Love The Devil Outta Me

Its lonely out here tonight
rooftops at sunset make me feel
how I feel changes everyday
trying to figure out what is real

I struggle every day
with this curse inside of my soul
fighting and losing
searching for something to make me whole

need someone to hold
someone to warm me from this cold
that I feel on the inside
need someone to set me free
and love the devil outta me

why does it allude me?
searching for love without ache
twice I've been told
but it turns out twice it was fake

need someone to trust
with the secrets I've kept hushed
even from my closest friends
need someone to set them free
and love the devil outta me

sometimes up on my roof
I realize what it is that I need...

need someone to hold
someone to warm me from this cold
that I feel on the inside
need someone wot set me free
and love the devil outta me

need someone to hold
and warm me from this bitter cold
someone that I can give my heart
and not worry about it being torn apart
someone to set me free
and love the devil outta me

well written. this piece resonates with us on what we all ponder. wanting the real thing, for once. it may come at unopportune or unexpected times but we must open our hearts to the possibility of what could be. this speaks from the inside out, lovely
O to lone for love is most human and you have hit the mark with this ode to loning for what we need if we are to make it through the world in peace
