Love & Truth

You let my heart taste thine faithful love,
Like an old melody, chants an Autumn's Dove.
The sand of time may fade thee away,
But thine eyes shall be my night and day.

As the flower blooms from her tempting veil,
Thou smile so sweetly, like the breeze of rain.
Let the moon go down as the night passes by,
But thine love is truth and truth shall never die.

Note: This is my first poem which I wrote when I was 12....so just a simple feeling.

Line 4: ... thine eyes shall be my night and day. Line 8: But thine love is truth and truth shall never die. Great job for this being your first poem. A strong, positive and encouraging message. Enjoyed. 10
