Love Turned To Hatred

I will not love one minute more, I swear!
No, not a minute! Not a sigh or tear
Thou gett'st from me, or one kind look again,
Though thou shouldst court me to 't, and wouldst begin.

This is sad, and beautiful at the same time.
I've read that Suckling got a very nasty beating from another suitor for the daughter of a lord, I wonder if that was inspiration. Either way this is one of the more nasty Break Up venting poems writing, perfect when you feel ditched by the opposite sex.
....most excellent, love the language...unrequited love always hurts ★
Treason of love! With the muse of love and hate. Nice work.
Love and hate are correlated in life! After hate again love will prevail. So, this is only a transitory state of life!
this is a one nice poem..love it....
Clear hatred.
