Loves Promise

Poem By Alc Harris

I will ease your constant searching
Stroke your weary brow,
Touch your very soul
as only I know how
Hold your heart in my gentle embrace
Catch the tears that fall down your face
With the intensity of love so pure
Of your misery I shall you cure
Like a beacon in the darkest night
My love will guide your blinded sight
Bring you up from your empty despair
Whisper to your ear
I care

Comments about Loves Promise

Great poem! Love does promise all these things. It's just the people who claim they love that sometimes can't keep these promises. You really have talent.

Forgotten Kisses

If I forgot the warmth of sun on my face
would you open the windows
bring light into this place..
If I forgot the tenderness of lovers kiss

There lived a man up on a hill
The locals did not bid him ill
But playground whispers of this one
Who kept his offspring in the sun

Angels Embrace

I wrap you about me
whenever I sleep
Like the arms of my Angel
and gently I weep

Faded Flower

Take down the wind chimes you hung in the hall
To catch our dreams lest they fall
Take down the pictures and sit here a while
With beautiful faces beautiful smiles

Sometimes as I sit here all alone
Through these pages I do roam
Songs of passion, loves lament
Of vampires, witches, devils torment

I read in the dailies
Marmite on toast is a work of art
sculpted and shaped
to appear almost lifelike.
