Making A Decision, Moving On

Poem By Myleen Payawal

Almost every time that I wanted to say goodbye
Love will be the reason that I can't even try
Looking into your eyes will only make me cry
And all I can do is ask the question why?

Neither me or you wanted everything to happen
Caught between the turmoils of something so sudden
And in the process we did nearly lose each other
Broken and bruised, can we both go further?

All of what has happened pass before my eyes
No more pain please, I really want to die
Sweet will be the air I will breathe after that
At least my mind is at peace though my heart is not

God give me strength I need to face tomorrow
Death would be an answer to all of my sorrow
Even the dark sky shows I feel blue
Lose myself in my tears is what I wanted to do

One by one the pain sears my dying heart
Slowly it comes back up to the start
Seeing everything else go in slow motion
All of the hurt, all of the emotions

Now that we are nearing the end of our journey
To give you up or keep you still as my baby
On the brink of having a really bad collision
Somehow I really have to make a decision

My Natural High

As I lie awake at night
Listening to your calm breathing
Loving you is so worth the fight
And now I know what's the meaning

As I slowly succumb to the pains of life
Like a helpless leaf trapped in the middle of blight
Love came along like a thief in the night
And held my hand through my endless fight
