Man Was Warned

Man was told not to eat a fruit
That one rule his wife did dispute,
After that one bite man was then cursed
Sadly that one sin became his first.
But, before the day that man had mourned,
Man was first warned.

Man was told not to turn around
But, Woman did after she heard a sound,
And it was only her that was to fault
When she became a pillar of salt.
But, before the day that man had mourned,
Man was first warned.

Man was told not to hoard wealth
As it is not good for the soul or ones spiritual health,
But, on that road to greed it was his decent
Now in Hell he will burn forever in torment.
But, before the day that man had mourned,
Man was first warned.

Man was told to turn the other cheek
But, he refused as he didn't want to appear weak,
His thoughts and his beliefs became his core
Now we will always hear and know of hate and war.
But, before the day that man had mourned,
Man was first warned.

Man has existed for thousands of years
Through that time he has created countless tears,
His forefathers have walked the very same road
And unto him the same stories have been told.
But, before the day that man had mourned,
He was first warned.
