Many Years Gone By

Poem By Jean Bell

Even though we had to part
Your always in my heart
As each day goes by
Only God knows why.

From Wisconsin's snow
To New Jersey you had to go
Remembering the boat ride
With you by my side

We made our mark
With a little spark
Than to Florida you went
Bringing joy with flowers sent

Hearing your voice on the line
Takes me back in time
Your laughter so cheery
Makes me happy but teary.

With so many miles
We still have our smiles.

I like this poem. It's really cool. I don't really understand what it means though? Is it a love poem or a parent-child time of thing?
