Mare Esposa

Poem By Stephen De Marino

Looking at my wife
Is like staring at the sea
In all its turbulent complexity
Her passion and energy
They overwhelm, waves upon the shore
Leaving me gasping, wanting more
In my adoring eyes
My life's oceanic princess
I cannot survive anything less
Because looking at my wife
Is like staring at the sea.

I am thinking of Mom today
It is Mother's day after all
