Memories

Poem By Shawn Franklin

I gather together
Old memories
Cold. Dusty. Forlorn
Light the fireplace
Throw them in one
By one
For a brief instant
Each memory is
Reborn
Happy. Distant. Warm
Then gone
Like cobwebs
Swept away to make
Space for new ones

Ms. Paradox

She was explicitly vague
And easily abstruse
Her profound superficiality
Was apparently hidden
