Memories Of An Absent Father

Poem By Starrbox Munoz

Nature took its course and you left me behind
Was I forgotten? Or Simply unwanted?
Did you love me? Or despise me?
I'd like to know, I need to know.

Letters and gifts was what I had for a father
Blurred memories & jail-house bars are my memories of you
I learned to hate, before I learned to love

I miss something that I've never had
My fathers love and attention, which I never got
Why love someone who doesn't know me at all?

Nature took it's rightful course and you left me behind
Father where are you?
In jail? In Peace? In Hell? Or simply lost and missing yet again?

Wow! My dad was sent to jail when I was 2... it seemed like you and I have alot in common. It felt like you were talking through my heart.
