Midnight Observations

Last thread
Last dread
One more blow
You can call me dead

Broken hinges
Guilty binges
Drunk on sorrow
On these tattered bridges

Fire and flame
Doubt and shame
My own hands
Causing the pain

Mirror reflection
Self-rejection
I hate what I am
And my bitter infection

Eyes and tears
Heart and fears
Blind as a stone
All these years

There's a fracture in the mud
It's been calling my name
The surprise of red blood
And the release of the rain
