Mihai Eminescu - No Te Vayas...

Poem By Paul Abucean

'¡No te vayas, no te vayas,
Yo te amo de verdad!
Todos los afanes tuyos
Sólo yo sé escuchar;

En la sombra tan oscura
Cual un principe te ves,
Contemplando en las aguas
Con tus ojos agiles;

Sobre grama ondulante,
Sobre olas al rodar,
El andar de mis venados
Te enseño escuchar.

Y te veo embrujado,
Murmurando a baja voz,
En el resplandor del agua
Ambos pies tendiéndolos.

En el lago ves la luna
Con sus férvidas esferas,
Cuentas años en instantes,
Y en instantes gozas eras'.

Dijo así la arboleda,
Con su boveda en temblor -
Yo, silbando a su llamada,
Fui riendo hacia el sol.

Hoy aun si regresara
No podria comprender...
Ay niñez, ¿dónde te has ido
Con tu bosque del ayer?

Atop the canopy, a Crow.
Her wings are threesome, truly so!
She sits atop the foil of dawn
And mourns us microbes with a yawn.

Vainly in those dusty classrooms
And throughout moth-eaten volumes
Do you strive to find life's beauty

If branches tap my window pane
And lonely poplars quiver,
It is so you return again
And stay with me forever.

I do not hate You, Death. Not me.
Nor do i smear Your name,
Like those who curse You bitterly
And Light itself they blame.

You're down on the ground. The biting gets bad.
You feel you don't really belong.
Why is it - you wonder - the world is so mad
And everything seems to go wrong?

Everybody giggles
In the same old language,
Everybody whimpers
In the same old tongue.
