Mind Of A Boy

And I am six
And I shall throw sticks
At everything I see.
At the next-door cat
and the seat with slats,
Under the big pear tree.

With threats of a smack
And maybe a whack,
I may even go without tea.
But unless I learn to refrain,
I shall do the same thing again,
Because I really didn't like what was for tea.
