The Alchemist In The City

Poem By Gerard Manley Hopkins

Directed from a density.
Manufactured from minds,
Too low it is futile...
Defining to measure,
A sustaining of mental equilibrium.
Or a retained stability to find,
To have existed.
And this is just one of the signs,
'Beware Of What Is Ahead',
Had been chosen to ignore.
To be admitted by those who survived,
Screaming for their lives.
And rescued by,
The ones they had victimized...
To say,
The color of the sign...
Had blinded their sensibilities!

Just what color was that warning sign? "

-No one can recall the color of it.
But all of us remember,
Avoiding it because it was non-white.-

"That's ridiculous.
All caution signs are 'yellow'."

-For whatever the reason,
Even that color to find offense...
Created our dilemma,
Instigated to implement...
Are near disastrous fate.
By the way,
What ethnic group do you belong to? -

"I'm here to rescue you.
You want to be rescued or not? "
