Moment

Poem By Vanessa Castello

Silence,
Is it just me here?
I’m I still living?
My fingertips can still feel this Earth’s heart beat sing.
These humans are as if they were sculptures.
I know that they can see it.
But I’m the only one who will speak.
It seems they are fearful, but why?
Am I the only one whose soul is anxious,
Waiting for that perfect moment to set out on its long sweet journey?
It is as if they have seen the world as if it had suddenly stopped,
Or are they machines, that don’t have any independence of their own,
And just sit there waiting for their next command.
Finally,
They have awakened from their long dream.
What happened, have the forgotten?
Will they remember?
One moment…
Lost.

Some great ideas, here, Vanessa. 'My fingertips can still feel this Earth's heartbeat' is a gorgeous line. Moments like this are never lost when you can capture them so beautifully. Jimmy

Truth

Inside me I feel alone,
The world still in motion.
People walking, but I’m the only one who has stopped.
I see me and I feel discussed.

Soul Reader

He suddenly looks into my eyes and I feel like he is reading my soul,
MY life story.
Like he finally sees what I see, and feels what I feel.
A simple smile and I feel safe, like no one can touch me.

Stolen

What my mind thought was once there,
Never was.
The sweet thoughts that swam in my mind,
Is lost.
