Monsoon

The downpour in isolation
From menacing sky to life renew
That hint of sage on earthen note
In wonder of the desert’s hue
A gust to stir sulfurous space
A rumble from the heaven’s, growl
Summer’s spell displaced in moments
A monsoon vengeful, the weather foul
And with each flash that clap grows louder
Intensity above the brow
All things must suffer madness
All creatures cease their ambled prowl
But soon the squall to gentle spit
Outstretched shadows reappear
A mourning dove, in calm approval
Cicadas drone inside my ear
The harmony reciprocated
Distant chaos cast away
And with a sigh from nature’s umbrage
The desert quenched, resumes the day
