Streaks of orange across the sky
Are intertwined with clouds
Blue sky peeking through it all
Hanging like a shroud.
Morning in Montana
What will the new day bring
Watching deer and antelope
Listening to sweet birds sing.
Perhaps today the sun will shine
More than it will rain
But even it the rain prevails
I’ll enjoy it on the pane.
I look across the road and field
And see them start to race
Two deer take off and climb a hill
They’re gone, there’s not a trace.
Aww yes, I’m in Montana
Sitting in the morn
I’ll enjoy whatever God will bring
As a new day now is born.
