Mother

If I called you,
Would you answer?

If I loved you,
Would you care?

If I lost you,
Would you guide me?

Light to find you,
Standing there?

If I wished my heart would answer,
All your prayers and vanquish fear.

Would you let me stand beside you?
Wipe away your final tear?

Love I have, and much to offer.
Wishes sometimes do come true.

Take my hand and stand beside me,
And allow me stand by you.

Having been really close to my mother before her death, i love it when others write about the intimate relationship they had with their own parents. I don't know why this got such a low rating. I think the honesty of it deserves at least an 8...but that's my opinion..I think you did a good job on this one..
