Mother

Today was a day not like the rest
I sat in my room just barely dressed
That felt a little too normal for me
So I fled to the field and started to scream
Scream
All I could do
Was scream
I was screaming at you
For hurting me
For sending me
Away
The memories haunt me of that dreadful day
That you ripped my world far far away
Far from the life that I once knew
Now I'm angry at you
You
The selfish one
Was you
Take a look at the war you've begun
Cannons blast
Seasons past
Now to you I must ask
Why?
Why are you forcing a love to die?
You're constanly twisting the knife
I can't take another lie
Nor another moment of this strange new life
