Mount Viso

MOUNT VISO

THE SNOWY FOOTPRINTS LED TO THE BASE,
WHERE THE DRY WIND HURRIED IN IT'S HASTE,
TO GREET THE WHITE PEAKED GIANT'S VIEW,
THAT MOUNT VISO'S VISURE HAD RENEWED.

BARREN TREES LINED THE HOUSES FACE,
WHOSE MELLOW BRICKS REJOICED THEIR GRACE,
AS FARMHOUSE DOGS SANG THEIR BARK FOR YOU,
PROTECTED LAND TOILED BY THE FEW.

AS I WATCHED MY HEART GAVE CHASE,
I FELT SOMEWHAT A SMALL EMBRACE,
AND JOINED THE FRINGES THAT HAVE GREW,
INTO THE SKY'S ABUNDANT HUE.
