My Baby

Poem By Shirley Frederick

On a pillow you lay
In a basket you grew
My arms weren't enough
So my breast brought you thru
You were special to me
I want you to know
I had other children
But I had to watch you grow
You grew like a flower
All I could do is smell
But god picked you early
I know I'll never be well
