My Drifter...

Poem By Daniel Oliveira

I have seen you before...

hiding in my window
you who dare not dream to sleep
waiting for my chance to speak

and I
lost myself just trying
and I
broke my life undieing
this truth be denied I find you

stare at my picture on the wall
that fighting kneels me and I fall
have been standing there for long...
be made still
I'll come around some day

and I
lost myself just trying
and I
broke my life undieing
this truth be denied I find you

go, go to bed now
sweet rest, close your eyes
I'm here, here be still now
I'll wait the sun to rise

hope brings me close to
you, my drifter
let you not wait long to dream
I'll hold your hand don't watch me fade tonight

and I
lost myself just trying
and I
broke my life undieing
this truth be denied i find you

I have seen you before...
