My Eyes/My Soul
Poem By Judy Alegria
They glistened with the sun.
The moon would fall gently upon
the pupils on my soul.
The stars, they'd fall -
to catch a glimps of the deep hazel filled pool.
The clouds would jump, shape and play
to attract my eyes, so they'd see
It pounds against the rocky edges
of my heart.
Waves of sea under a cold bitter darkness.
Turning tides until only pain dwells.
They're dark with one star centered
full of pain and bitter tears...
