My Goodbye

She was an adolescent,
When she gave up her life.
She was an adolescent,
When she said she'd had enough.

She was only fourteen,
When she had given up all hope.
She was only fourteen,
When her life was gone.

She was my best friend,
That's why it hurts.
She was my best friend,
I have not yet let go.

She needed me,
And I needed her.
She needed me,
She knew I was there.

She made the decision,
One that changed the world.
She made the decision,
To commit suicide.
