My Hatch Day
'Cluck, cluck', said the chicken to her unlaid egg.
Are you there; can you hear; today is your day.
It is time for you to come outside.
Out from my feathers; no more time to hide.
Then all at once; her egg layed in the nest.
So tired from waiting; she had to rest.
With her feathers so fluffy to cover her egg.
She sat apon it with no time to delay.
After a while, the chick did wake up.
Splitting its egg with a giant hick-up.
He poked his head out from under her wing.
Then said, 'It's my hatch day! ' So happily.
