My Heart's Drought Is Now Over

My hearts drought is now over.
My yearning for nourishment has finally come to an end.
I have seen your eyes, the liquid essence of your soul.
I have imagined the taste of your lips. Their moisture will quench my thirst.
My search for passion's embodiment has ended in your gentle touch.
You, who I have barely met, were in my heart before I knew of love.

How can my lips know that shape of your neck?
How can my hands know that you are their extension?
How can my heart have always known that you are?
I have loved you since the laying of earth's foundation. I knew of your existence before I knew what was.

My life has been forever changed.
I have been thrown into the abyss. I have no way of breaking free.

I am overcome and succumbed by the mere acknowledgement of you.
