My Place

There's a place I go
That noone can find
A place where I can leave
All my problems behind.
A place where I can leave
My droll and plain life
And shed off my blanket
Of toil, sorrow, pain, and strife.
A place to cry
And a place to scream.
A place that no one
Ever has seen.
One day I went unto this place
And discovered something wrong.
Darkness closed in and I couldn't see
My place for very long.
I tried to breathe,
I tried to fight,
But nothing ever
Came out right.
I crumpled down onto the ground
And felt the world begin to sway.
One last breath and no one will find
The place where I will forever lay.
