My Race
( / Ashland, Kentucky)

My Race

If I cannot stand straight and tall
On my hands and knees I will crawl
I might not keep up with another man’s pace
But this one thing I know, I will finish the race
I will not give excuses or will I ask for pity
I am not looking for hand-outs or charity
All I seek is the chance to either lose or win
As I wait for the race and my journey to begin.
