My Sleeping Beauty
Now she's gone to peaceful rest.
by Natasha Bolling
This, my hearts most painful test.
Seeing her eyes dormant and still,
Knowing in life they had their fill.
Lips once so very tender,
Stilled to deaths sweet surrender.
A beauty always in velvet white,
Lies forever under dirt tonight.
I'll never sleep peacefully again,
Til I drown in my bottle of gin.
My heart entombed six feet under,
I pray for deaths eternal slumber.
