My Sweet Flower

My sweet flower, never, never,
Shall I go back to thee,
Though my heart forever the bower
Be, to thy sweet glimpse’s memory,
A place, thou shall remain forever,
Forever that beautiful, lovely and fadeless be.

For all sweet glimpses art close to unseen,
Shall thy beauty be immortal, in me serene.

And ever happy shall thou be,
As never with my heart oppose,
Forever smiling, forever shiny,
A deepest joy in sweetest sorrows.

When oft thou art too closer,
Thou, oh! no but too afar.
As deepest thoughts from tongue apart
Yet, too close, to bosom heart.

Thus sweet flower, never, never,
Shall I go back to thee,
That I may see thy beauty a liar,
Or fallacy; though this parting, forever,
My sweetest sorrow be.

That never to thee I’d seen, a moment full,
But forever, I'll know: “Thou art so beautiful.”
