My Wings

Poem By zhuli xin

You are the shadow when I lift
Up my palm to shield my eyes
From the always vertical sun.

But you are also the light stealing
Into the page of my conscience
When I write of closet secrets
In bony metaphors.

Only lake of purity
catch your reality light
moving waves spreading out
this burning love hidden
in leaves, flowers and dews

What shadow of uncertainty
remains, o my sun of existence
my vision annihilated
without a trace in your seeing
O my wings, lift this dust
lost in immensity
Oh Dhuha of Morning Brightness!

Comments about My Wings

I love this...I thought it was very beautiful and the imagery so striking. You lifted this dust into the brightness of knowing. love Donall Donall
