Nagligivaget

Swimming in the words you said
And things you make me feel,
Answers bouncing round my mind,
Penned in by bars of steel.

You lavish your feelings upon me,
I feel I’m in the wrong,
I know just what I want to say
But it must come off my tongue.

The silence may not be broken
But it doesn’t mean that I don’t care.
The words have not been spoken
But emotion is still there.

Soon enough the time will come,
Soon enough I’ll crack,
When your light again blinds my eyes
I will finally give them back.

And as ice begins to grow around
My scared and secretive heart,
I will say nagligivaget to you
Before the next time we part.
