Near His Throne

Too many days,
too many tears.
In so many ways
I wish you could hear.

Life without you,
my life all alone.
I can't seem to find a new
you on my own.

If only I could remember,
if only just for once,
all the times together
without those lonely months.

We had our shares of laughter.
We never would forget
how all that really mattered
was the special night we met.

No more dreams to marry,
no more time we'll spend.
Every memory will I carry
all day and with me to bed.

You were my handsome Prince
and I was Yours alone,
but now you're up with Jesus
sitting near His throne.
