The Intestines Of I. C. U.

invisible dead souls stacked in a corner
whispering in a language of the grave
three famous last words waving goodbye
emotions of a nurse packed
in a neat & professional manner
an army of alcoholic breath trapped
inside the doctor's surgical mask
the cry of a widow awakening the spirit
but the husband moves dead still
the ventilator blames the defibrillator
one machine prepares for another body
two other machines feeling useless
last machine still pumping in vain
monitor displays the gates of heaven
