Nightfall

However much occupied I remain
Throughout the day
Lonliness gets the better of me
At night when I lay

The torture begins unabating
Continuously for hours
Other blessings seem insignificant
They loose their meaning

Stabbed in the heart
Profusely bleeding
Fate is mercyless
And insecurity killing

My soul cries out to God
What have I done
Is there an end to this punishment
Is there any healing?

Yes, its such a sad fact of life.. inspite of being surrounded by millions one is so lonely at times.. but then.. if only one reaches out.. one can find a 'kindered soul'
