No More Clichés

Beautiful face
That like a daisy opens its petals to the sun
So do you
Open your face to me as I turn the page.

No more clichés, but a poem of love is always one. Nothing totally new when it comes to love. Paz is better read in Spanish. In English he loses too much as every great Hispanic poet.
This poem is dedicated to those women Whose beauty is in their charm, In their intelligence, In their character, Not on their fabricated looks. great wrote great 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This poem is a string of cliches, from Shahrazade to bright stars. Paz can do much better
Amazing flow of feelings and thoughts. Nice
From now on, my head won't look down to a magazine Rather, it will contemplate the night And its bright stars, And so, no more clichés. Good for you Better contemplate and count the stars and go to bed dreaming of women in magazines. Magazine Girls, you Mexican ambassador, give a damn to what you write. Just words. What have you done for the women you praise? Just scribble a poem and dedicate it to them! Is that all? Is your poem just not a fluff?
That is very nice about women. Celebrating their intelligence and beauty at the same time. A great tribute to women. Yes, to you women in a world of pain To you, bright star in this ever-spending universe To you, fighter of a thousand-and-one fights To you, friend of my heart. From now on, my head won't look down to a magazine Rather, it will contemplate the night And its bright stars, And so, no more clichés. ....are beautiful stanzas in the poem.
Octavio Paz is always by my side. He's really cool.
Lovely poem and tribute to real women.
This poem is dedicated to those women Whose beauty is in their charm, In their intelligence, In their character, Not on their fabricated looks. Yes, celebrating woman as human entity and not a piece of fabricated beauty. nice poem

nice movement in the poem.
Real woman does not hide behind the old cliche and her glossy looks but inner charm, intelligence, character and her ability to bring about change in the society. Amazing poem.
