Normal

Poem By Kailan Thomsen

To live with normality,
You take it all for granted.
To just be forward faced,
Upright, both feet planted.

It's not until you couldn't stand,
Keeled over in the dark.
That you would truly recognize,
The contrast was so stark.

Hatred for the morning sun,
Because of what it meant.
Battling depressions waves,
Shoes heavy with cement.

Resenting life's unpredicted turns,
While ignoring the road itself.
Your own mind dealing blows,
To your life and to your health.

But there will come a day,
When you free yourself of chains.
Sever self-imposed bindings.
Your life you will  reclaim.

There is no real benchmark,
Find what normal means to you.
Cherish life and what you have.
I'm happy normal, how about you?

Remember The Fallen

My eyes begin to open,
My surroundings start to show.
I haven't landed where I was hoping,
This I already know.

Loves Shadows

He was by far too blind
He did not even recognize
He was far to busy to take the time
To see the sadness drowning in her eyes

Angel's Allure

I was going through life, never feeling complete
My heart never quickened, holds a steady beat.
My soul felt lost, shattered into countless pieces.
In my mechanical mind, dreaming all but ceases.
