These angels are no saints!
by Abednego Oghenechovwiere Omashone
They, our dreams, had once slain
Wit enough, to tell them "No! "
Else we'll yet munch The bread of sorrow
Biting us, bleeding they say "Sorry! "
Licking up our honey they say "Don't worry! "
Tell them they've done us much good
But their feet, be miles - off our neighbourhood.
Wolf-sheep! Here they come again!
Maintain sanity! Tell them "Not Again! "
See dry bones dangling beneath
The homage, peanuts and star beer
Rice, mortgaging the seedlings.
In Canaan land
If not Armageddon,
We may all be someday,
Nostalgic of these wilderness days
Thanking the Almighty for deeds infinity
When with hyssop we've purged our entirety.
