Not Such A Wonderful Thing

In their joy in gold why should I wish to share
Or what Country wins the most gold medals can't say I much care
It is all about winning that and nothing more
And it is all about ego we've heard that before
The Beijing Olympics are all about show
In the games where the big egos bigger do grow
In a World where children for food are pleading and crying
And where millions of people of hunger are dying
The Olympic Games of money seems such a waste
If what I say seems sour grapes then excuse my sense of taste
In a World of millions of Stateless refugees
Who are destined to die of hunger and disease
The Olympic Games not such a wonderful thing
And it's praises as such do not ask me to sing.
