Nothings Coming Out

Poem By S.MICHAEL DOWNS

Nothings coming out.
No matter how hard I squeeze,
Nothings coming out.
Who shoved it in there?
I did.

Who made it this way?
Not me.
Blocked, that’s what it is.
Blocked, but by what?

Nothings coming out.
Except gay people, ketchup, the truth
And babies.
Nothings coming out.
Isn’t it supposed too?

How much can we hold in?
Won’t we just explode with the force of it?
Nothings coming out.
Except hatred, anger and greed.

My way or the highway!
Who died and made you king!
What planet are you from?
How stupid can you possibly be?

Nothings coming out.
It’s all just rotting in there.
Poison, toxic, crap
Dressed up like life with a big red bow on it.

Nothings coming out.
Maybe it’s for the best..
