I put my seed into the ground
And said, 'I'll watch it grow.'
I watered it and cared for it
As well as I could know.

One day I walked in my back yard,
And oh. what did I see!
My seed had popped itself right out
Without consulting me.

The poem made me think wow, A comb in a chair. I first thought Moses was a cat.
So Moses turned out to be her old mischievous husband! Enjoyed the humor and rhyme of this classic poem.
A witty piece of sophisticated humor which is completely charming and highly amusing. My first shot reading this chap from New England and I am highly impressed.
Such rhythm and rhyme, it might be a song.
A beautifully constructed piece. Pleasant to read.
