Ocean

Poem By Michelle Tiddy

The ocean, calm and soothing
Fast and furious. Cruel and kind.
Is there anything more mysterious
Than the never ending depths
Of this unforgiving brine?

A passage home, an escape route.
A provider, a destroyer, a soother.
So many guises, so many forms
Enveloping so many secrets
Instigating so many storms

Of course it has beauty
And holds beauty in its arms
So many amazing creatures
So many wonderful charms
Taunting, pulling, teasing, begging

How I love the ocean
The way it draws me in
Further and futher into paradise
Tingling upon my warm skin
I am happy only when I'm close to its prize

A truly magnificent beast
Strength second to none, yet gentle
When it sparkles in the sun
I am always in awe and will always
Respect this colourful seducer

So, crash upon the shore!
Swirl with passionate undertows
Be angry, be calm, be majestic
Never cease your hold on my heart
And carry my love, to where, who knows?

Velvet Dark

I heard a song last night
Alone in my car, in the velvet dark
It epitomised my feelings, my reelings
And I began to understand

Cruel Twist Of Fate

How cruel is fate?
Allowing me to know you
To feel your heart, to cup your pain
To pick you up when you fall down

Tender Hearts

How can our tender hearts
Bear so much pain
Why are we able
To always love again?

Conkers (Or Maybe Bonkers)

Pull on those gloves.
Tug your hat over your ears.
Wrap a scarf of dreams around
Your neck and come join me....

The Love Motel

think I've lost faith...
There is no such thing as love
No such thing as the perfect man
Just a bitter-sweet torture

Smile :)

What makes you smile in this world?
Those things that undeniably
Make your lips curl spontaneously
At their sheer beauty?
