Ode To The Unredeemed Paramount
I don't say goodbye when I finally leave;
by Vicky Harley
I just watch you walk away.
I don't hold you when you get too near;
I recoil through fear of want.
I don't touch you when you caress my arm;
you touch to show you care.
Yet you don't show the love out loud,
because quietly you're scared.
But I can't avoid that look you give,
when you think nobody can see.
My heart sinks all again
then I turn so you can't see.
I didn't say goodbye my friend when I decided I should leave my friend;
but the pain that's left here after can haunt me in my dreams.
