Of Neon And Other Galactic Mistakes
OF NEON AND OTHER GALACTIC MISTAKES
by Jeffrey Troupe
I beg myself apologies and draw them each day
out on open sidewalks, dry under umbrella clouds
where chalkmarks, like neon, glow.
And I stand where they'll walk - each one of them lifting up the air
with whispers and steam.
I watch as they pass with patterned swing and step and pause to be distracted
by my words...
eyeing them like crop circles.
