Oh My Lord
CR (20 January 1965 / Malaysia)

Oh My Lord

Have i fought my way through
My lord i ask you again and again
Yet hardly a word you have spoken
Signs and wonders how this man here comprehend
A small mind i have, how can i my lord?

Have I fought my way through
My lord I ask you again and again
Yet hardly a touch you have given
Whispers and caresses how this man here comprehend
A small world I live in, how can I my lord?

Have i fought my way through
My lord i ask you again and again
Yet hardly a vision you have given
Shadows and glimpses how this man here comprehend
A small vision and mission I strive with, how can I my lord?

Yet, I understand not my father of heavenly aboard
Why thou give me ears, when I can't hear your silence in this way?
Why thou give me eyes, when I can't see your invisibility in this way?
Why thou give me nose, when I can't smell your fragrance in this way?
Why thou give me hands, when I can't touch your existence in this way?
Why thou give me mind, when I can't translate your actions in this way?

Have i fought my way through
My lord i ask you again and again
Yet you hardly say anything, everything utterly void
In silence, your favorite language I am made to admit,
As small as anything, with perseverance this man here surely can
Thank you my lord, for the silence well communicated.

I know my lord
Your greatness lies beyond
beyond the reach of my intelligence,

Do you mind joining me for a cup of tea?
Today is my treat for you.
