Old Loon

Poem By SHAUN DICKER

Last night, on the bus,
was a terrible fuss,
with 'Old Loon'; at the moon, he just stared.
'Off', Driver said - Old Loon just refused,
The bus couldn't return
to the yard!

The copper was good though,
he arrested 'Old Loon', and 'cuffed him,
and dragged him away.
the only thing is, it'll happen again,
i bet yer',
later,
today!

(The next night) 'Tis true,
I told yer', I knew!
'Old Loon', he's at it again,
except this nite aloud,
'Old Loon' sings his favourite refrain: -

'Big moon are you still,
in the nite, shining brite,
can you see me, and well, can you tell?
Is the copper a'coming to me,
and arrest,
and take me back to the cell? '

Aloud, did I tell yer'
and wide eyed I said!
'Old Loon' just sang without fail!
The copper, he came,
and this nite - the same,
'Old Loon' was taken to jail!

The only thing is, it'll happen again,
i bet yer',
Later,
today!
