On Rupert Brooke

A young Apollo, golden-haired,
Stands dreaming on the verge of strife,
Magnificently unprepared
For the long littleness of life.

Short and sweet poem....Nice one thanks for sharing.
It's such a skill crafted by intelligence with proper balance of keeping sense of poetry making. Nice by it's sudden appearance of words beyond readers expectation. 'Magnificently unprepared'....such and such!
Another superb example of her mastery of the short lyric; the last four words an apt summation of the human condition. The alliteration unobtrusive.
